Using this website

By using this website you agree to the terms below. They govern this public website only. They do not replace or override the consent forms, financial agreements, or privacy notices you sign at the office, and where those documents and this page disagree, those documents govern.

This site is education, not medical advice

Everything published here, from condition and procedure pages to articles, videos, and answers to common questions, is general education. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for being examined. Two people with the same scan result can need entirely different care.

Reading this site, calling the office, or booking an appointment does not create a physician-patient relationship. That relationship begins when Dr. Nikhil Adapa evaluates you in clinic.

Nothing here is a promise about your result. No outcome is guaranteed, and recovery ranges described on this site are general patterns rather than predictions about you.

Emergencies

This website is not an emergency service and no one monitors it in real time. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

New loss of bowel or bladder control, numbness in the saddle area, or rapidly worsening leg weakness needs urgent assessment now, not a message and not an appointment request.

Booking and contacting the office

Online booking is provided by athenahealth and runs inside its own scheduling application. Your use of that scheduler is governed by athenahealth’s terms and privacy notice in addition to these terms.

Apart from that scheduler, this website collects nothing. There is no contact form. Questions may be sent to the office by phone or email, and records and referrals by fax to 210-293-9381. What the site does and does not collect is set out in the privacy policy.

What you may and may not do

You are welcome to read, print, and share these pages for your own education, and to link to them. Clinicians are welcome to point patients here.

You may not:

• republish this content as your own, or strip the attribution from it;
• present yourself as Adapa Spine or as Dr. Nikhil Adapa, or imply an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist;
• scrape, overload, probe, or otherwise interfere with the operation or security of the site;
• submit false information, or book appointments you do not intend to keep.

Accuracy, availability, and outside links

Clinical content is reviewed and revised over time, and the standards it is written to are set out in the editorial policy. Even so, this site is not guaranteed to be complete or current at any given moment. Medical understanding moves, and so do practical details like clinic hours, which insurers are in network, and what appointments are open.

Links to other organizations are offered because they are useful, not because their content is endorsed or verified. Those sites set their own terms, run their own privacy practices, and are outside the practice’s control.

Content ownership

The text, design, photography, and clinical illustrations on this site belong to Adapa Spine unless credited otherwise. Names, logos, and marks of hospitals, societies, and device manufacturers referred to on this site belong to their respective owners and appear for identification only.

Limits on liability

This site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Adapa Spine is not liable for any decision made in reliance on this website in place of a clinical evaluation, for any loss arising from use of the site or from it being unavailable, or for the content, security, or practices of any site linked from here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for the care you actually receive as a patient. That is governed by the professional and legal duties owed to you in clinic, which these terms neither reduce nor replace.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of the use of this website belongs in the state or federal courts serving Bexar County, Texas.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised as the site changes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version, and continuing to use the site after a revision means the revised terms apply. Substantive changes are not applied retroactively to a dispute that arose beforehand.
